● Colorless and transparent, with a light transmittance of 90%---92%, strong toughness, more than 10 times larger than silicon glass.
● Good optical properties, insulation, processability, and weather resistance.
● Dissolves in organic solvents such as carbon tetrachloride, benzene, dichloroethane, chloroform, and acetone.
● It has high transparency and brightness, good heat resistance, and features toughness, hardness, and rigidity, with a heat distortion temperature of 80℃ and a bending strength of 110Mpa.
Product Applications
◆ PMMA has advantages such as being lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to mold. It dissolves in organic solvents like benzyl ether, forming good films and excellent dielectric properties, and can be used as a dielectric layer in organic field-effect transistors.
◆ Its molding methods include casting, injection molding, machining, and thermoforming. Especially injection molding allows for mass production, with a simple process and low cost. Therefore, its applications are becoming increasingly widespread, widely used in instrument parts, automotive headlights, optical lenses, and transparent pipes.
