Polycarbonate (PC)
Product Features
Polycarbonate is colorless and transparent, heat-resistant, impact-resistant, and has a flame retardant rating of BI level. It has good mechanical properties within normal usage temperatures. Compared to polymethyl methacrylate with similar performance, polycarbonate has better impact resistance, higher refractive index, good processing performance, and achieves UL94 V-2 level flame retardant performance without the need for additives.
Product Applications
Optical Lighting
Used for manufacturing large lampshades, protective glass, eyepiece tubes for optical instruments, etc., and can also be widely used for transparent materials in aircraft.
Electronics and Electrical Appliances
Polycarbonate is an excellent E (120℃) grade insulating material, used for manufacturing insulated connectors, coil frames, tube bases, insulating sleeves, telephone housings and parts, battery housings for mining lamps, etc. It can also be used to make parts with very high dimensional accuracy, such as CDs, telephones, electronic computers, video recorders, telephone exchanges, signal relays, and other communication equipment. Polycarbonate films are also widely used as capacitors, insulated skins, recording tapes, color video tapes, etc.
Mechanical Equipment
Used for manufacturing various gears, racks, worm gears, worm screws, bearings, cams, bolts, levers, crankshafts, ratchets, and can also be used for some mechanical equipment housings, covers, and frames.
Medical Equipment
Can be used for medical purposes such as cups, tubes, bottles, as well as dental instruments, pharmaceutical containers, and surgical instruments, and can even be used as artificial organs such as artificial kidneys and artificial lungs.
Others
Used in construction for hollow rib double-wall panels, greenhouse glass, etc.; in the textile industry for textile bobbins, textile machine bearings, etc.; in daily use for baby bottles, tableware, toys, models, LED lamp housings, and mobile phone housings.
