Polyethersulfone (PES)

Product Features

Heat Resistance: The thermal deformation temperature is between 200 and 220℃, and the continuous use temperature is between 180 and 200℃, with a UL temperature index of 180℃.
Hydrolysis Resistance: Can withstand hot water or steam at 150 to 160℃, and is not corroded by acids or bases at high temperatures.
Creep Resistance: It has a small linear expansion coefficient, and its temperature reliability is also low. The characteristic is 30% glass fiber reinforced PES resin, which can maintain values similar to aluminum even at 200℃.
Impact Resistance: It has the same impact resistance as polycarbonate. Non-reinforced resin can be riveted, but it is sensitive to sharp cuts, so design considerations are necessary.
● Non-toxicity: Recognized by the US FDA in terms of hygiene standards, and meets the requirements of Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare notifications No. 434 and 178.
Flammability: It has self-extinguishing properties and exhibits excellent flame resistance without the addition of any flame retardants, reaching UL94V-0 level (0.46mm).
Chemical Resistance: PES is resistant to gasoline, engine oil, lubricants, and cleaning agents such as chlorofluorocarbons. Its solvent cracking resistance is the best among amorphous resins. However, it can dissolve in polar solvents such as chloroform and acetone, so caution is advised during use.
